Last Wednesday we attended a meeting focused on cut flowers, organized by the German Wholesalers Association (BGI). The theme of the day was ”The Money is on the Street’” which refers to the importance of good logistics and services.
For Aleia Roses it was a perfect moment to get acquainted with several co-members of BGI and have some valuable meetings. We displayed the decoration presentation kit and we received positive reactions on our roses and branding. One of our first steps on the German market.
BGI invited her members to discuss several topics relevant to the trade of cut flowers. About 50 people were present and were welcomed by the President of the BGI, Mr. Norbert Engler. Several speakers were invited to talk about logistics, quality, cooperation, and digitalization. For example, topic logistics was explained by a transport company, digitalization by a project manager of RoyalFloraHolland who explained their own digital platform FloralMondo, cooperations by Zentoo (a chrysanthemum growers’ association) and quality by a quality control manager of Royal FloraHolland in Kenya who controls all outgoing flowers on demand as a service.
